The Miramichi Volunteer Service is a non-profit agency
and provides the following service to the community:
Volunteer Recruitment, Referral
and Promotion
Recruitment – recruitment of volunteers from
all walks of life through the use of the media, our website, newspaper articles. Volunteers are then referred, depending
on their interests, time available etc., to various volunteer agencies throughout our community.
Promotion of Volunteerism Volunteerism is promoted in the community through use of the media, presentations
to groups, workshops, National Volunteer Week and volunteer recognition events.
Resource
Services Maintain a list of private caregivers available to Seniors and/or families with special needs.
Income Tax Preparation Income Tax returns are prepared for low income individuals
and families by volunteers.

Preparing basic income tax returns
Visiting Seniors
Tutoring
Office work
Classroom mentors
Hospital volunteers
Delivering meals
Distributing groceries
Driving
Fundraising
First aid/search and rescue
Board membership
PLEASE REMEMBER:
Be realistic about how much
time you can give.
Give your volunteer work a fair trial but if after several times you find it is
not for you try something else!!!
